If you haven’t figured it out, Seth MacFarlane has one simple recipe for his shows. It worked the first time with “Family Guy” but not so much with the cloned rejects “American Dad” and “The Cleveland Show.” Here’s a closer look at this theory.

Now that Fox has officially canceled Dollhouse, what might we expect to watch in its place? What else? More shows created by "comic genius" Seth MacFarlane... oh yeah, and American Idol. This is FOX we're talking about after all... "So many different shows, you won't realize they're exactly the same!" I know it's a joke now, but this might actually be the future of this network. American Dad, the FOX series created by Seth MacFarlane which has been recently honored with an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Animated Program, will continue to follow the twisted adventures of CIA agent Stan Smith in Langley Falls now that FOX has picked up the show for its sixth season.

The software giant has signed a deal with Fox to sponsor a variety show produced by "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane, voice of the family guy himself, Peter Griffin, and actress Alex Borstein, who plays wife Lois Griffin. The show will air Nov. 8 without commercial interruption -- because it will instead feature Windows-branded programming throughout the program. More on Family Guy
