Going Home

From:  myboys3.com
I’m writing this on the plane at 30,000 feet, Friday afternoon returning from a week-long business trip to Fort Lauderdale. Four days of a beautiful hotel, 85 degree weather, three pools, right on the ocean. None of which I got to enjoy as I was in meetings all day. Four days is a long time to be away from the family, for me at least. I know some guys have to travel overnight several times a week, and I guess you get used to it, but I decidedly don’t like it. I get tired of the late nights... Read Full Story

I'm Pissed! My Friend "Abducted" My Kid!

From:  momlogic.com
Lisa from Atlanta writes: Dear Friendship Court: My friend April is the consummate practical joker. She never stops. In fact, every time I get a phone call from someone I do not know, I assume it is her pulling a prank on me. Generally, I laugh at her antics ... but the last practical joke was out of line, and I do not plan on ever speaking to April again. My 9-year-old son, Jake, was outside on our driveway shooting baskets. We live in a suburban neighborhood, and though I am neurotic... Read Full Story

Military Mom: Yesterday Was Like 9/11 for Me

From:  momlogic.com
Tammy Munson:  November 5th, 2009 will be one of those days that I never will forget where I was or what I was doing. In ways, it reminded me a lot of my thoughts and fears of September 11, 2001. It brought back images of desperately searching for information, hoping it wasn't what you thought it was, and praying for those families affected. Read Full Story

When Did Daylight Savings Become 9/11 for Moms?

From:  momlogic.com
One by one, I read the complaints. Everything from "This is my second least favorite day of the year for baby Lucy -- my first is springing ahead ," to "Daylight savings was invented by a man who never had to deal with a toddler," to "This is seriously messing with my kid's nap time." How Mommy Love Relates to Adult Love

From:  momlogic.com
Dr. Wendy Walsh : It is parts visual appeal, pheromone compatibility, intellectual decision, and environmental conditions. Those factors notwithstanding, I believe love is even more about our internal attachment style. Much has been written in the mass media about "Attachment Theory" in parenting manuals. Psychologists have been quick to warn parents about the dangers of child/parent separation and its relation to major personality disorders, but less has been written in terms of adult...
