Late on Friday, the shooter in the Pittsfield Township shooting was released . Police are still investigating the case, but the key issue appears to be whether the shooter acted in self-defense. What we know is that the dead man had an unregistered gun with him but did not fire it. The two men were sitting in the shooter's car when the incident happened. Whatever else police know, they're not telling. When I wrote about this incident last week , I suggested taking a straightforward... Read Full Story

I've already blogged about why it is that I changed my name from Floyd Hadden to Justice Calo (See here if you missed it) , however I have never felt comfortable speaking about why I changed my name from Brazier to Reign. You see, I've always been very concerned with maintaining the family name. While I used to joke and tell people that we owned the "Dairy Queen" brazier stores, that is not the reason Brazier is an important name. You may not know any Brazier's in Washington State, but... My husband always worried that he was too much of a "momma's boy." That used to mean that he'd run to me (not Daddy) if he was hurt, throw out a hug to anyone that needed one, and was easy with his feelings and affection. But lately, this momma isn't getting anything more than a nod in the morning from her 14-year-old. The timing of his turn away from me coincides suspiciously with a newfound attraction to girls. We all know what Freud would say about that -- and chances are the old Austrian... Read Full Story
