Farrah Fawcett is an American actress. She was born February 2, 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas, the daughter of an oil field contractor and a homemaker. She shot to fame in the 1970s with roles in Logan's Run and Charlie's Angels.

Farah Fawcett has succumbed to cancer and died at age 62.

The blond sex symbol of the 1970's has been ill for some time with cancer, which spread throughout her body. She was recently the subject of a television movie, chronicling her battle with the disease.

She is survived by her long time companion, Ryan O'Neal, her son, Redmond, and her ex-husband, Lee Majors.

Farrah shot to fame as one of the original detectives in the ABC drama "Charlie's Angels." She later earned critical acclaim as an abused wife who takes revenge on her husband in the controversial television drama "The Burning Bed."
