Chanel No.5 Eau Premiere & Beauté Initiale
In October of 2007, Chanel will launch Chanel No.5 Eau Premiere, a new version of the iconic Chanel No.5. Eau Premiere is marketed to be a modern and softer interpretation of N°5 and “will incorporate all of N°5’s original ingredients, including rose absolute, jasmine, neroli and ylang-ylang, but rebalanced in a lighter, airier formula by master perfumer Jacques Polge.” Also a new ad shot featuring Nicole Kidman, and photographed by Patrick Demarchelier, will be featured in fashion and beauty magazines in November. The fresher reincarnation of the most cherished fragrance in the world will retail for $125 (150mL/5oz). Bloomingdale’s is promoting the new fragrance August 30th and September 1st at its Bergen County, NY store. Chanel will also be launching, in September, the Beauté Initiale skincare line for young women in their 20s and 30s. The five new products of the line are designed to prevent skin damage as the signs of aging slowly appear. Each product includes vitamins C and E as well as several other ingredients intended to protect cell membranes, and boost cell function. The Everyday moisturizers Energizing Multi-Protection Cream SPF 15 and the Energizing Multi-Protection Fluid SPF 15 are designed for dry and oily skin complexions and both will retail for $75 (40 mL,1oz). Energizing Multi-Protection Fluid Healthy Glow SPF 15 is a moisturizer with a built-in self-tanner and will retail for $75 (50 mL, 1.7 oz). The Energizing Multi-Protection Eye Cream($60 0.5oz) is said to ease puffiness and dark circles. And the Energizing Multi-Protection Concentrate($85 for 40 mL,1oz) will boost cellular energy. Bloomingdale’s is promoting the new line August 23rd (2:00pm-7:00pm)at their SoHo, NY store with a free facial. And on August 24th (11:00am-5:00pm)at its Palm Beach, FL store with a free consultation and samples.
