My first “About” page

I just edited my About page and made it more simple & I guess, clear??? LOL. So, below is the first unedited version of my “About” page.

I believe that Filipinos are inherently talented. Whatever field it is, there’s a Filipino American who excels. Just look at Lea Salonga, Josie Cruz Natori, Jessica Hadegorn to name a few. Working recently in a play gets me involved with the Asian American Community and it was such a great experience. But working in the US for several years, it just dawned on me that there isn’t much visibility for Filipino Americans who really get there in the mainstream. There are a few who get to be a household name to the public and one of the things that I realized is that there are ways it can be achieved and that is by networking with other artists. Who are going to cast Filipino Americans if there are only a few Filipino American plays, movies or tv shows? So, the Filipino American Artists Network came into fruition—well, online. It’s a way for us Filipino Americans to connect and support each other wherein we create an audience for our fellow Filipino American artists. Also, as one of the avenues to collaborate with each other and even collaborate with other Asian American Communities with the resources and directories that’ll be regularly updated.

So, here I am asking you fellow artists to join, participate, collaborate, and create an audience for Filipino American artists.
