Some movie franchises just can't help themselves, they close the final chapter and, later, open it right back up again. Horror franchises are the worst offenders. They're almost soap operatic in their abuse of canon. But they aren't the only genre that likes to fake out fans. Many times studios simply can't let go. They see an opportunity to make money and they jump all over it. That's how "Final Chapters" end up being nothing of the sort. Here are some examples in movie history.
