Released in 1997, it was the first game in the Final Fantasy series to be produced for the Sony PlayStation, the first to be ported to Windows -based computers, and the first to use 3D computer graphics featuring fully rendered characters on pre-rendered backgrounds.

Better Graphics from Crisis Core but in Final Fantasy VII game
Well, I tell ya, I'm never shocked by the sheer power of FFVII. From used "Final Fantasy VII" PSOnediscs selling for over 50 bucks in my local used vinyl (OK, mostly CDs) shop to a hit animated film and now finding itself the top PSN paid download... well Cloud and company seem nearly unstoppable.
I have to wonder if "Final Fantasy VII" is all that great a game, or if it's simply nostalgia. I can't tell, as one who is clearly under the FVII...
