Financial Services Franchise: Are there any good ones?

Chances are your business is drying up. The opportunities are not what they were.

People are also asking me about legal services franchises. The attraction is there for you if you come out of the legal profession. It’s something you know about. And you may be sick of going into the office every day to sling mud and fight fires for ungrateful clients. So you naturally look to get into a home based franchise, and something along the legal line makes sense for you.

There are very few opportunities though. I really don’t know of a single franchise, but I do know of a type of business you will want ot check out. It’s litigation funding – advancing cash to plaintiffs involved in lawsuits where they are likely to prevail. The lawsuits are auto, medical malpractice, product liability, and occasionally other tort claims. The victims need money to stay afloat, and you advance them some money. You have a lien on the case and you can get a very nice return when the case settles (if it does) or is won at trial (if it is.)
