Check out the dates below: Saturday, December 26 and January 2: Join a 3-mile roundtrip ranger-guided tour through the Fire Island Wilderness and along the beach. Sunday, December 27: Junior Ranger Workshop: Exploring the Wilderness, will be held at the Wilderness Visitor Center at noon...  

The Fire Island Lighthouse Preservation Society will hold an evening tower tour, Thurs., Dec. 31, 4 p.m. View the night sky during the Blue Moon from the top of the tower. The cost is $15 per person and reservations are required. Sunset and moonrise are at 4:34 p.m. The Lighthouse is open all year round. Winter hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.read more
