Frances Drake news, related photos and videos, and reviews of Frances Drake performances. According to Wikipedia: Sir Francis Drake, Vice Admiral, was an English privateer, navigator, slave trader, politician and civil engineer of the Elizabethan era, considered by many a pirate. He was second-in-command of the English fleet against the Spanish Armada in 1588. He died of dysentery while unsuccessfully attacking San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1596.

is a lesson in which students investigate a series of maps depicting a voyage by Sir Francis Drake that involved attacks on the Spanish settlements off the coast of Africa (Santiago), Caribbean (Santo Domingo), South America (Cartagena), and North America (St. Augustine).
