Former National Golden Gloves boxing champion Francisco Rodriguez died Sunday night after a two-day struggle to save his life following a fight gone bad. The 25-year-old boxer was rushed to a hospital Friday night after the referee stopped his fight against Teon Kennedy in the 10th round. Francisco Rodriguez, AKA EL Nino Azteca (1984 - Nov. 22, 2009) was a Chicago-area boxer who was a National Golden Gloves champion in 2001. He died after fighting Teon Kennedy in Philadelphia on Nov. 21, 2009.
