Tyrod Taylor was midseason sharp in No. 10 Virginia Tech's final scrimmage of the fall, completing 16 of 17 passes for 319 yards and three touchdowns. The only incompletion was a ball he threw away, coach Frank Beamer said after the closed scrimmage. It pitted the Hokies' first team offense and defense against the second units.
