He has twice won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play, in 1975 for Edward Albee's Seascape and in 2002 for Fortune's Fool, and been twice nominated for Best Leading Actor in a Play, in 1978 for the Edward Gorey-designed revival of Dracula and 2004 for Match.
