A free background check can be an important step when trying to learn more about people you are recruiting. Additionally, sometimes it is smart to get a free background check on yourself so that you know what potential employers will see. That way you can try to remedy anything that's incorrect in your background check, or explain in advance some of the potential questions that might come up in your background check. If you are a hiring manager, you can use free background check websites and services to get more information about the candidates you're considering. Find more news and information about free background checks here.
Free background checks Do Not Exist!
When I was first searching for a free background check online, I was bombarded with offers of FREE record searches. "Just type in the persons name you want to search, right here, FREE". That's about all you get to do, type their name in for free. Your then brought to a page telling you to get the "Full Report" for a fee. I really really hate this. I don't mind paying for a good service at all... I just hate someone trying to trick me into it.
So after some research, I found that a free background check service obviously doesnt exist. Still if I was going to get a background check, I was going to get the best deal on the web. What I found was that a quality background check site wont only have a persons criminal record on file. They should also include a database with criminal and inmate records, civil, bankruptcy, marriage, death, sex offender registry list, property, military, current phone and address records... the list goes on.
Another KEY feature I found is the ability to perform unlimited searches. Most background check services will try and make you pay for just a single search. There are sites out there that offer YEARS of unlimited searching for a single price. The price to join is usually cheaper than what it would cost to get a single report from a non membership site ($30-$50).

Employment background checks:
Have you ever hired a person, just to wish you hadn't? Don't let that happen again. It's a common mistake, everyone does it. You hire a person, and then a few weeks down the road, your cash register, and some how the figures don't add up. Sound familiar?
If you were to check your applicants background before hand, this might not happened. It's not being nosey, it's smart business. There is no feeling in the world like knowing that your business is in safe, capable hands.
There is no such thing as a FREE background check, but there are great sites available for you. Everything you will ever need to know about your next applicant can be found. Is he, or she, honest? Have they ever stolen from a previous employer? Did they lie about something on the application? It's all right here. If it's public, then it's here, waiting for you.
So stop wishing you hadn't. Be sure next time, and hire the right person for the job.

There are many reasons someone may want to perform a background check or people search, and many benefits of having a service. Small business owners may want to run a thorough check on a potential employee or even when dealing with another business. Landlords may want to perform a bankruptcy or tenant check and parents may want to know more about a babysitter or nanny. Knowing everything from felonies to fraudulent claims can help you better determine whether or not a person is worth your time.

Criminal Records Searching:
A free criminal records search has been made easier to carry out in recent years for individuals and businesses largely due to the internet. In this Wikizine we hope to share information with those of you in need of this service. You can use several search engines to find the required details in order to ask the questions you need answering.
There are many different routes in which to start your free criminal records search such as property records, deeds, mortgages ,unclaimed properties, business details, corporate filings, civil and criminal and court cases, inmates, offenders, births, deaths and marriages, professional licenses, and so the list goes on.
You should only search a person's record when you have good reason to do so.
Much information can be found simply by knowing the first and family names and the place where the person lives. As many names are quite common, a social security number would help to identify the person you are looking for so long as it is not a newly assigned number, re-used after the original holder has passed away. Nicknames and aliases used by the person would also assist with your search.
Now how hard does all that sound? Do people just leave their SS# laying around? Do they give you a list of family names?
Im sorry...there are no free criminal records searches. You must be prepared to pay if you want to get the best results from a criminal records search. Sure, you can type someones name into google or yahoo or any other search engines for free and get extremely limited, if any results.
You would be wise to perform a city, county, state and national search as the person you are carrying out the search on may well have committed a crime in another area. Read all reports from start to end as some reports may begin by stating that the person was convicted and imprisoned and then go on to say that same person was exonerated, suggesting the end result was a probable false accusationAs with all sites you may decide to subscribe to, it is important that you check out the small print thoroughly prior to making a financial commitment. Ive combed through many services that claim to be offering free criminal records searches and found most to be extremely misleading. Below you'll find a link that will direct you to a site that i have found offers the most searching capability combined with the best value in terms of membership. They are offering a 5 year Unlimited Investigation Pass for only $26.95. No other site offers as much value to their customers at this time.

Basic being that you can type a persons name in and you get a bunch of possibilities sorted by age and location along with the crime. There's no buying or upgrade like the usual sites. Criminalpages just offers some good basic info well worth checking out.

Ezine article:

Read all reports from start to end as some reports may begin by stating that the person was convicted and imprisoned and then go on to say that same person was exonerated, suggesting the end result was a probable false accusation
As with all sites you may decide to subscribe to, it is important that you check out the small print thoroughly prior to making a financial commitment. Ive combed through many services that claim to be offering free criminal records searches and found most to be extremely misleading. Below you'll find a link that will direct you to a site that i have found offers the most searching capability combined with the best value in terms of membership. They are offering a 5 year Unlimited Investigation Pass for
only
$26.95. No other site offers as much value to their customers at this time.

Actual Free Basic Background Check:
Today I was browsing some background check site press releases and stumbled upon a new site that ACTUALLY has a free criminal background check... sorta. This site called criminalpages.com really has a basic free criminal background check. Basic being that you can type a persons name in and you get a bunch of possibilities sorted by age and location along with the crime. There's no buying or upgrade like the usual sites. Criminalpages just offers some good basic info well worth checking out.
For complete background checks and criminal records, the best value is still to become a member of a reputable site that offers unlimited searches. Review some great established search sites at backgroundchecksreview.com.

Review of Background Check Sites:
Finding an online background check site can be harder than you think. Sure you can look through google results and comb through the literally thousands of sites that offer background checks, but are they worth your time and money? If your looking for someones background history there's a good chance you need it. Something is making you want to know more about the person. To me, the best way to go about searching such sites is finding reviews of these services. There are many sources online for referring quality sites, you just need to know where to look. Im providing a link at the bottom to a background check review site that i've found very helpful. Hope you enjoy!

Ezine article:

Background Checks Review
Ezine article:
