The Mexican soccer federation and Liga MX management have approved the move of the Jaguares de Chiapas club to the central city of Queretaro.
The idea originated with the owners of Queretaro’s existing Liga MX team, which was relegated at the end of the just-completed season.
The Queretaro ownership group, led by businessman Amando Yañez, said Tuesday that the man hired last month to manage the now-relegated squad, Ignacio Ambriz, will stay on as coach of the transplanted Jaguares.
