I have always been a supporter of the Second Amendment and the right of any law abiding American to own firearms for sport shooting and hunting and for personal protection of life and property. The liberal argument against this position has just never made sense to me. Common sense tells you that if you take away that right, law enforcement and the bad guys will be the only ones with weapons. Former Marine Nick Popaditch , aka the Cigar Marine, is running for the Republican nomination to challange the incumbent Democrat in the California 51st Congressional race for 2010.
