Global warming is caused by the build up of gases in the atmosphere such as carbon dioxide and methane, which form a sort of blanket over the Earth, trapping in heat that would normally escape the atmosphere. The leading greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide, a pollutant emitted from the burning of fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, and natural has. While it is true that there has always been some natural climate variability, the changes that are currently underway are unlike anything that has been seen before. Record levels of carbon dioxide are having a far reaching change over our weather, sea levels, and climate.

Get ready because the Chamber of Commerce and business are going to start freaking out about how any legislation to regulate greenhouse gases will endanger the economic recovery and small business but here's the news that isn't shocking to many. I can only imagine what it's going to be like to work at the EPA during the 60 day comment period. By H. JOSEF HEBERT, Associated Press Writer - The Environmental Protection Agency concluded Friday that greenhouse gases linked to climate change "endanger public health and welfare," setting the stage for regulating them under federal clean air laws. Scientists Have Begun To Worry Over The Global Warming Future Because Of Two New Potent Global Warming Gases That Where Not In Their Equation. Scientists are concerned about accelerated global warming…That is a given. But what they did not expect, were two new global warming gases that come from ancient plants and those that come from flat screen technology. Those gases where not part of the equation for global warming. Carbon dioxide is old hat compared to gases that are coming from ancient plants and from flat panel screen technology. These gases are are on a rapid rise. Enough to worry scientists about the ... Read Full Story

Earth Hour’s for sissies - this is for the truely damned A Canadian environmentalist group sheltering in a bunker say credit cards and food packaging bar codes are symbols carbon spewing culture, the official negotiating the release of children from the group said on Monday. Around 30 followers, including four children, from across Ontario and neighboring Quebec met last October and barricaded themselves into a hillside to escape the global warming their local environmental activist leader says is looming in either April or May. “They have burned their passports and say that all plastic (credit) cards and strip codes on food packaging are the ... People will need to turn vegetarian if the world is to conquer climate change, according to a leading authority on global warming. In an interview with The Times, Lord Stern of Brentford said: “Meat is a wasteful use of water and creates a lot of greenhouse gases. It puts enormous pressure on the world’s resources. A vegetarian diet is better.” Direct emissions of methane from cows and pigs is a significant source of greenhouse gases...
