Review of Garmin StreetPilot c340 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator w/ US, Canada and Puerto Rico Maps (Factory Refurbished)

I didn't have a pressing need for a GPS, since I rarely drive in unfamiliar territory. But I decided to get one anyway because (1) I might have occasional use for it and (2) I was suffering from a severe case of gadget lust. Having used an entry-level GPS in a rental car once before, I wanted an affordable model with text-to-speech capability, one that would actually tell me the name of the next street to turn on, instead of saying "turn in 200 feet." This Garmin seemed to fit the bill. But... Read Full Story

The Garmin Nuvi 250 Widescreen Sat Nav

Does your loved one always get lost when driving. Worst still, do they drive along whilst trying to read a map? Not ideal (probably illegal) and definitely dangerous.  Solve this, and a Christmas gift problem with a  Garmin Nuvi 250 This is a lovely  Sat Nav which has an easy to see widescreen display and is great value for money. Some Sat Navs have a very small screen , making it just as dangerous to peer at it, as it would be to keep grabbing a map. This is why the Garmin Navi 250... Read Full Story

Pharos PDR200 4-Inch Touchscreen Portable GPS with Text-to-Speech Review

From:  bestdp.com
Kudos on the economical price for a TTS GPS. Liked the speed limit alert and immediate route recalculation feature. Also enjoyed the large, bright, easy to read screen and qwarty keyboard. The Pharos PDR200 begans to lose points on the touchscreen feature. When tapping any of the buttons on the bottom it would trigger a button way above it, if it triggered a button at all. The device froze several times and had to be reset each time. When trying to use the POI feature and the Where I am... Read Full Story

GPS Tracking for Cars – Repo mailed me a beeper, how does it work?

I just found out that my bank asked a repo to find my car. Forget about me not paying, I checked my pobox and found a beeper mailed to me it said it was a beeper to give me up 2 the min sports info. It looked suspicious, aside from the fact I didn’t order one, because there was no writing on the beeper like model or brand. I never turned it on but when I got home I noticed it was on so I popped out the battery and drove someplace else. I popped in the battery and left the beeper in the... Read Full Story

Review of GARMIN 010-00516-30 GPSmap 430S Marine GPS Receiver

We installed this unit on our boat and got it working immediately, no problems whatsoever. We bought it for all the inland lakes in Michigan and it has details on all the ones that we boat on. However, we are going to have to pay an additional $130 for Lake St. Clair! Granted it is not an inland lake. The included lake maps do provide useful outlines of the lakes. The depth sonar and gps both work well on the lakes and we have had no problems. However and but... Here are the reasons why I... Read Full Story

Review of GARMIN 010-00361-00 Foretrex 201 GPS Receiver

The Foretrex 201 is a general purpose version of the Forerunner personal training device. It lacks the personal training features (and PC software) of the Forerunner and replaces them with a general purpose GPS feature set derived from Garmins successful “Geko” models. Note that Garmin describes the Foretrex as being similar to a Geko 201, but the Foretrex is missing a few features (no games) and the user interface is substantially different in a few areas. There are two Foretrex models... Read Full Story

GPS Tracking for Cars – If you have a GPS can someone see where you are?

Here is my question, if a person has a personal GPS, is there any way online you can track where that person is? Say for instance you let your teen have it in their car, can you check to make sure they are truly going where they say? Does the GPS have a number or something? Best Answer: in a nut shell..Certain GPS devices are GPS receiving…receiving the GPS coordinates to tell YOU where you are, other GPS devices, like the ones hikers, explorers, cave divers, and the Coast Guard are GPS... Motorola MOTONAV TN30 4.3-Inch Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator Review

From:  bestdp.com
PROS: -Great Sticky Suction cup for the window. -Sleek design. But it turns out the unit is full of bugs, ignores streets and jughandles and wants to take you WAAAAAAAAY out of the way to get to places.Sorry Motorola, stick to phones and walkie talkies….
