This is the perfect addition to the Garmin GPS (I have a Street Pilot III).Lock-in to satellites is just a few seconds (it could take as long as a minute with the stock antenna and there are some places near me where I would have to hit the "continue to acquire" button). I cannot compare it to the Garmin GA26 antenna, but I can't imagine how it could be better, and this is a fration of the price.
