Losers of eight of 10 and playoff spectators for the third straight year, the Chicago Bears insist they can find motivation for their final two games. Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith knows he'll be on the sideline this weekend against the Detroit Lions. Beyond that? He isn't making any predictions. Smith deflected questions about his job security Tuesday, saying he's only thinking about the Detroit game and "that's about as far as you need to go." The Bears are 6-9 and out of the playoffs for the third straight year.

But offensive coordinator Ron Turner was fired, along with position coaches Pep Hamilton (quarterbacks), Harry Hiestand (line) and Rob Boras (tight ends), and assistants Luke Butkus and Charles London. Another change could be the addition of a defensive coordinator. Babich...

The Chicago Bears were at their best early and late. Chicago doomed a promising season, though, by losing eight of 10 games in between. Jay Cutler matched a career high for a second straight week with four touchdown passes, leading the Bears to a 37-23 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday. "It just shows that we can play good football," Cutler said.
