SPACENOODLES.COM:HANK CURCI EXPLAINS THE HISTORY OF ALGEBRA AND HOW THE LACK OF IT CONTRIBUTED TO THE FALL OF ROME….THE BARBARIANS ARE COMING….

                        *HISTORY OF ALGEBRA*

In WWW.SPACENOODLES.COM we find a dissertation on the History of Algebra which did not make it to Europe till about 450AD then in 830AD finally put together by the great Arab Mathematician Al Jabar.

Had the Roman Empire been given Algebra and our Arabic numbers they may not have fallen in 450AD to the Barbarians.

They only had the cumbersome Roman numerals to compute their engineering which is remarkable knowing what engineering marvels they had accomplished..i.e. The Pantheon still standing today after 2,000 years looking like it was finished last year. Some of the roads are still in use as are the aqueducts.

Some historians suggest that they would have had electricity, oil refinement, automobiles and airplanes to mention a few by 800 Ad.

Today’s San Francisco may have gotten built in 900AD rather 1900AD.

We may still be speaking Latin and Caesar would be in the White House…and the Barbarians would not have won in 450AD.
