Microsoft's newest gaming platform. The service will debut on May 8, 2007, with the launch of the Windows Vista version of Halo 2. Then, launching in June, Shadowrun will for the first time connect Windows gamers with Xbox 360 players in cross-platform matches using a single service. UNO, releasing later in 2007, will also support cross-platform play between Windows and Xbox 360.
Look, I play some pretty bad games... I suppose it has something to do with the fact that I inflict pretty severe mental torture upon myself. Now, starting off. The game is (gasp) better than the movie. Just swinging around the city and beating up on random thugs provides it own levels of entertainment...

Was driving to the mall on Sunday and while sitting at a stop light I witnessed the passing of a rather odd SUV decked out with cameras and Windows Live Local decals. Seems the Windows Live Local team is hitting the Tampa Bay area for their StreetSide Origami project, even the Carrollwood suburbs.
Without camera in hand or the time to catch up to the driver to score an interview, I drove on to the mall, wondering how exciting the job must be to drive around city streets during a holiday...

Games for Windows - Live brings a new level of online service to PC gamers, but it also charges a fee for something most PC fans get for free today.
The Microsoft service will be identical to that of Xbox Live, with Silver accounts for free play but at least $49.95 a year for Gold memberships.
Existing subscribers to Xbox Live automatically receive the functionality of Games for Windows - Live at no additional cost by using the same gamertag.
