Ants

Ants are a type of insect, related to wasps, that live together in colonies. These colonies can sometimes be very large. Ants are social insects, which means that they have a hierarchy of types with different responsibilities. Ants can be found in many different climates, and they’re a common pest in many parts of the world. If you have ants in your home, there are several options for dealing with the problem.

Carpenter ants are larger ants which feed on wood. If they get into your house, they can cause damage to the wood beams. Pavement ants are so named because they like to nest near and in pavements. These ants often invade homes, looking for food and other sweet things.

Ants live in large groups, with different ants having different responsibilities. Some ants gather food, some build the nest, and some guard it. Ants are good insects most of the time, but they can become pests when they enter placed they shouldn’t be. Ant bites and other types of damage are some of the problems they cause.
