Today the Browns decided that the vaillant comeback of cornerback Gary Baxter was not going to be enough for him to make it all the way back in 2008, and decided to cut ties with the CB, releasing him. Baxter was attempting to make it back after suffering a nasty injury back on October 22nd of 2006 when he tore patella tendons in both knees.

“Last year we were able to hold a roster spot open for Gary as he attempted to make a monumental comeback. After he underwent a knee scope last week, we are unfortunately not in a position to hold a roster spot this year.
