Was Gary Michael Hilton a Serial Killer in Training?

Was Gary Michael Hilton thinking about murder a decade before he was suspected in several killings? In a bizarre twist to the man who has been charged in one murder and suspected in others, reports now say that Hilton (pictured to the left) helped come up with a plot for a movie, "Deadly Run," that depicts a serial killer on the loose in the Georgia mountains. The film, which starred Danny Fendley as killer Bobby Wilson, was shot in 1995 and may have been a sign of things to come. Hilton has confessed to murdering Georgia resident Meredith Emerson back in January in the north Georgia mountains. Hilton reportedly kidnapped Emerson while she was hiking, then kept her alive for three days before killing her on Jan. 4. He is also a suspect in at least three other murders that took place in national parks in North Carolina and Florida. The movie's producer, Samuel Rael, turns out to have been Hilton's lawyer a decade ago, when Hilton was looking at charges that included theft and drugs. Rael says Hilton liked his idea for the movie and assisted him in outlining the plot. The script included a killer kidnapping women in the mountains, letting them go, and then hunting them down. Rael now says that he never could have imagined that Hilton would end up a convicted killer. He may be sharing that thought with law enforcement soon as apparently authorities want to speak with Rael to learn more about just who Gary Michael Hilton is. Strange how things have a way of working out in this life.
