Army Lieutenant General David Petraeus is President Bush's choice to lead his new plan for Iraq which includes a surge of 21,000 more U.S. troops to the Persian Gulf.
The commander of the U.S. Central Command says a decision is near on sending more American forces to Afghanistan. Gen. The official Yemeni news agency says the top U.S. commander in the Middle East is pledging American support to fight terrorism in the troubled Arabian peninsula country. Gen.
