A community portal about Generation Y with blogs, videos, and photos. According to Wikipedia.org: Generation Y is a term designating a cohort of people born immediately after " Generation X " and is only one of several terms used to describe roughly the same group of people. There is however no consensus as to the exact range of birth years that constitutes "Generation Y", nor whether this term is specific to North America, the Anglophone world, or people worldwide. The only consensus, by way of its relation to the term "Generation X," is that those born in Generation Y must follow Generation X. Many published academic, demographic, business, and governmental sources have used their own specific parameters for who constitutes Generation Y, but there is by no means one accepted definition. The use of the term is also controversial and synonyms are often used in discourse or in published works.

In his 1995 book, The E-Myth, Michael Gerber discusses several misconceptions most American’s have about the traditional entrepreneur. Michael Gerber The Gen Y E-Myth has two layers, both as equally damaging to the future of business as the ... Read Full Story

There is a generation gap in the workplace.   This is nothing new. However, there is one area that can help bridge the generation gap and that area is technology.   There are many stereotypes about Generation Y, some good, some not so good, but no one will dispute the fact that Generation Y is the most technologically advanced generation ever. It is mind boggling how many gadgets there are out there that Generation Yers utilize every day and how many websites there are that cater to “The Millennials.” It’s difficult for a member of an older generation to keep up with new technology ... photo via Sister72 "Today, however, we are a generation who has, and will continue to sacrifice so much. Not just in the deaths of over 5,000 of our friends, brothers, and sisters in the ensuing conflicts, but in the millions of lives that have been altered in the wake of September 11th. We are no longer assured a life of safety and prosperity. I guess it never was a guarantee, not for any generation, but now the reality of such a life seems so far away... "It has been said that these uncertainties and struggles are what molds a great generation. I hope that ... Read Full Story
