Hick's World has been sitting in the hands of a geocacher for months now. Finally this weekend he was dropped in a geocache in California and has over 500 miles under it's belt. The interesting thing is that the cache it was placed in was constructed by 32 6th graders. Oh what interesting experiences must be awaiting Hick's World... You can see all of HeadHardHat's HooHaa TB Race Cartoons at the bottom right of this blog or visiting here . Read Full Story

Well it's noon the day after the big road trip to Michigan. Yes I had a late start but after driving for 17 hours Miss Geoness and I were pretty worn out. You know how it goes when you think you are going to be completely exhausted but are so wired up from driving you simply cannot sleep. I didn't konk out until around 12:30 or so. Anywho, I am currently enjoying myself at one of my old hang outs for breakfast, the Uptown Coney Island near Ann Arbor, MI. Absolute favorite dish, the Greek Skillet - complete yumminess; but I digress. I hope ... Read Full Story

I had a ball yesterday with Darryl and Drei (Dragonfly) the hosts of the very popular geocaching podcast " Cache-A-Maniacs ". I was extremely fortunate to catch up with this dynamic duo during my road trip across the Great Lake State of Michigan. This was a rare but wonderful situation where they were able to do a face to face audio interview with me and I in turn could do a GeoSnippits video interview with them. Most of their weekly shows are done inhouse and over the phone. The other fun aspect to the interviews was that we were able to do them outside ... Read Full Story

It's a gorgeous sunny afternoon in Northern North Carolina. I had a pretty hectic morning workday and decided to clear my head by doing some lunchtime geocaching. A FTF was just on the outside of my driving limit so I took the chance and went for it. It turned out to be a P&G nano hide. So as I pulled up I was all smug and everything. This particular cache out in the middle of nowhere. Wasn't I the surprised FTF Hound to see that Zuni had once again been two steps ahead of me. Ahhh well it's a pretty day to be outside ... I was pleased as punch when my friend geocacher TripCyclone asked if he could post some modifications of my most evil creation HeadHardHat's Evil Ant Hill Geocache. When I create a new geocache for GeoSnippits my intent is to create discussion and for others to take the basic concept and run with it. The moment I published the GeoSnippits video for Ant Hill Trip was the first to say how cool of a geocache it was and by the way how cool would...

fixed: Replying to nicolas: Replying to nicolas: And if you will be creating cache for every get parametr you can just do '?foo=bar1', '?foo=bar2' etc. to create millions of useless cache files and bypass caching strategy ;) That's just the purpose of caching. You're right that's too many cache files. I'd recommend you cache partials in this instance, which is now possible even when there are GET parameters.

On the IBuildings blog Cal Evans has taken a look at the Windows caching technology (some recently released) from a management perspective and where it fits in the overall Windows caching toolsets available.
