Why Pippa Middleton and Prince Harry Weren't Chosen as Prince George's Godparents

Getty ImagesHas there been a royal diss? The list of baby Prince George's seven (seven!) godparents was named this morning, on the day of his christening, and neither Uncle Harry nor Aunt Pippa were on it.

Though it might seem contentious, apparently the decision not to include Prince William's brother and Kate Middleton's sister isn't actually a huge deal. Per British tradition, unlike in the U.S., relatives aren't always picked for the gig. So Harry and Pippa probably weren't crying in the corner over the decision. They were all smiles today during the christening and both got to recite lessons from Luke during the service. See? No hard feelings.

"Godparents are entirely a decision for the parents, like any parent, they chose who they wanted to choose," a palace "source" told E! News.

So, who was chosen instead? Here's the list: Oliver Baker, Emilia Jardine-Paterson, Earl "Hugh" Grosvenor, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, Julia Samuel, Zara Tindall and William van Cutsem.
