Lets count the ways George Bush has blessed this great country. He has managed to make LBJ look thrifty, and with the most recent bailout , FDR is looking like a tightwad. The man single handily destroyed and discredited the conservative movement . Has successfully made the constitution the outdated and irrelevant document that his personal attorney, Alberto Gonzales , has always maintained it is . Made John Ashcroft look like a card carrying member of the ACLU . War on two continents. Made Presidents Franklin Pierce , James Buchanan , and Warren Harding look good. Embarrassed Americans every time he opens his mouth. ... Read Full Story

Former President Bush may lack a lot of things; a grasp on reality is one of them for example, but what he doesn’t lack is the ability to make us laugh. There have been numerous funny or embarrassing photographs of him posted on the internet; I’m sure some of us have saved a few of them to our hard drives so we can view them every now and then and feel better about ourselves. One of the most recent of such photographs shows a smiling President Bush at the 2008 Summer Olympics wearing a silly hat, holding a water bottle, and ogling the behind ... Read Full Story

At a recent event in the Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi, I found myself with my arm around his waist and his arm around my shoulder, posed for a photo opportunity. George W Bush, the much reviled former President of the United States, was in an expansive mood that evening. Aside of his “base” in America, this was fawning that had to be seen to be believed. He is the unquestioned hero of India’s elite. A senior member of the ruling Congress...

http://channel-surfing.blogspot.com/2009/12/war-is-peace-or-something-like-that.html Friday, December 11, 2009 War is peace, or something like that *** begin quote *** Barack Obama is more like George W. Bush than any of his supporters has been willing to admit. The 44th president, like his predecessor, has shown a willingness to break disagreements down into simple, binary equations, especially when it comes to his defense [...]

In the cold light of history, I’m sure there will be plenty of blame to be laid at the feet of one George W. Bush, but blaming him for movies? Well, that’s what Ramin Setoodeh over at Newsweek is proposing — Wow I really did not think they could be so stupid

Beer, hot dogs and an ex-presidentTHE former president looked healthy and well-rested, and happier than he has in recent years. He said that he had been enjoying walking his dog in his new neighbourhood in Dallas, although he misses being commander-in-chief. It was December 2nd, and George W. Bush was back on stage. Not the world stage, of course. The former vice-president, Dick Cheney, has been nipping at Barack Obama’s heels all year. But Mr...
