George c Scott Movies, George Campbell Scott (October 18, 1927 – S eptember 22, 1999) was an Academy Award-winning American stage and film actor, director and producer. He was best known for his bravura stage work, as well as his portrayal of General George S. Patton in the film Patton, and an early flamboyant film performance as General Buck Turgidson in Stanley Kubrick’s Dr. Strangelove. He has also widely been known for his rather gravelly voice.
