I really have never felt like a participant, I’ve always felt like an observer. Always. I only identified this in retrospect, way after the fact, that I have been on the outside, and I don’t like being on the inside. I don’t like being in their world. I’ve never felt...

What do George Carlin, John Ritter and Twitter have in common ? OK, not all that much. But I am a big fan of analogies and identity linkages, especially ones that relate to popular culture. She does have a point though - a random person would recognize less than 1% of what's on my iPod and probable less than half of my DVD collection. That's what makes these...

George Carlin narrated the third and fourth seasons of "Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends" for American audiences; he also re-narrated the first and second seasons, and played Mr. Conductor in "Shining Time Station" and "Mr Conductor's Thomas Tales". After narrating the fourth season, Carlin left the series to do several comedy specials and pursue other projects. From Season 1, Episode 22. Circa 1984.
