George Huguely has been sued by American International Group, Inc. (AIG) for refusing to answer insurance investigators’ questions regarding the death of Yeardley Love, his ex-girlfriend. In a court filing on Monday, AIG says Huguely declined requests for questioning under oath. Yeardly Love (UVA Lacrosse photo) Yeardley Love's killer, her ex-boyfriend George Huguely, has been sentenced to 23 years in prison. The former University of Virginia lacrosse player was sentenced Thursday in Virgina, reports People.com. The 24-year-old faced a maximum of 26 years in prison after being convicted of second-degree murder back in February for the 2010 beating death of Love. The case of George Huguely, a former UVa. lacrosse player convicted of killing his ex-girlfriend, will be heard by the state’s Court of Appeals. Huguely is currently serving a 23-year sentence for the murder of Yeardley Love, a suburban Baltimore woman who was also a lacrosse player at the University of Virginia. Former University of Virginia lacrosse player George Huguely was found guilty of second degree murder and grand larceny today by a Virginia jury. A jury of seven men and five women decided his fate, after deliberating for nearly nine hours. Huguely's murder charge stemmed from the death of his ex-girlfriend Yeardley Love.
