George Strait was a big winner for CBS and help that network pull in the most viewers Wednesday night.
"So You Think You Can Dance" put Fox on top with young adults.
And there was the saga of Disney-owned ABC. The network started strongly with "Wipeout," then the network's line-up wiped out with the premiere of the animated "Goode Family" and new episodes of "Surviving Suburbia" and "The Unusuals." "The Unusuals" has been canceled. The same fate seems likely for "Surviving Surburbia" and "The Goode Family."
The two-hour Strait special, which saluted him as the country artist of the decade, drew 10.6 million to CBS. Two hours of "So You Think You Can Dance" attracted 8.6 million to Fox. "Wipeout" had 8.6 million fans on ABC.
