George Wendt and Jon Mantegna continue to reprise that stupid super fan role from many years ago on Saturday Night Live. At a charity Just for laughs event these men reprised their roles from a long time ago. They actually were acting out a proposed screenplay that thankfully was never made into a movie. Geroge Wendt was looking very old and fat. George Wendt practically ruined the TV show Cheers with his bad character that was somehow popular. I recently saw a great show of Taxi where he made an appearance on Taxi a year or so before Cheers was developed on NBC. He played a fat, disgusting exterminator. At least he was working in this episode. This was a bad appearance that was very short. he had maybe a couple of lines in Taxi and it is too bad this was not the same number of lines he had for the TV show Cheers.
