Giorgio Armani is giving back in hopes of boosting the arts in New York City schools. Armani made a gift of $1 million to The Fund for Public Schools to develop a multi-year, umbrella program entitled the Armani Arts Institute.
The infamous designer made the announcement at the opening of his new multi-million dollar store on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. Caroline Kennedy, who is vice-chair of the fund, and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg were by his side.
