Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen will play the female lead in the next installment of the hugely popular Austin Powers franchise. Bundchen, 27, has reportedly read the script and is set to meet with star Mike Myers, who also wrote the screenplay.

After winning the prestigious VH1/Vogue Model of the Year award in 1999, she went on to co-host the ceremony in 2000, along with actor Cuba Gooding, Jr.. Vogue named her the "model of the millennium" and has referred to her as the "return of the sexy model". In 2000 she was the fourth model in history to grace the cover of Rolling Stone, when she was named "the most beautiful girl in the world".

Bündchen has also been on the covers of thousands of magazines from all over the globe like Vogue (American, Italian, British, French, Brazilian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Russian, Portuguese and Spanish), W, Harper's Bazaar, ELLE, Allure, i-D, The Face, Arena (magazine), Citizen K, Flair, Time, Vanity Fair, Forbes, Newsweek, Esquire, Veja, GQ and Marie Claire. This is the second consecutive year the Brazilian beauty has topped the list, compiled by Forbes.com. The 27-year-old supermodel earned $35 million last year despite terminating her lucrative contract with Victoria's Secret lingerie company last May. The figure was two million more than she earned in 2006 and over twice as much as Heidi Klum, the second highest earner, made in 2007. Business-savvy Gisele reportedly insists on having her contracts paid in Euros, rather than dollars which has contributed to her massive earnings. Kate Moss has dropped one place on the rich list to third position. Orlando Bloom's girlfriend, Australian Miranda Kerr, is a new entry at number 10.
