Change the World
Although many of the projects entered in Ashoka's Changemakers' contest are global initiatives, the majority focus on efforts outside of the United States. Often projects focus on socially-responsible business, bringing employment to at-risk populations. Creating projects in countries where slavery is at its worst, whether through forced prostitution, indentured labor, drug trafficking, forced child labor, begging, etc., why is more not done locally in the U.S.?
