Episode 3: Talkin’ Trash Plot : With a garbage strike seizing New York City, a pair of eggheads at the Manhattan Institute of Advanced Technology (MI A T?) struggle to find a “scientific solution.” The subordinate one, Felix (Faust?) (Grant Shaud—who will forever be, to me, the voice of Murphy Brown’s old boss boss, Miles Silverberg ) has an answer in his still-to-be-perfected “Nanotech drivers”: a “colony of microbes” that consume petroleum-based products, manufacturing copies of themselves from the result. Visible to the human eye as a red-and-orange, candy cane-striped sludge, the drivers are unstable…and more than little ravenous. Nevertheless, his as-yet-unnamed boss insists ... Read Full Story

If you aren't quite sure how Godzilla got It's name, let me put it into a formula for you. This is the remixed version of Godzilla that America knew. It's not simply a subtitled or dubbed copy. It takes the original Gojira footage, edits out parts and adds in new footage shot with Raymond Burr and a bevy of asian extras to shoehorn Burr into the original. It's not overly successful, but not that badly done either. If someone had not seen Gojira before, the remix seems smooth enough. That said, the Americanized version is a serviceable, though weaker movie, but it IS the version that American kids grew up watching. For that reason, it's included here. Gojira came out in '54, but ... Read Full Story

Episode 1 + 2 "A New Family." Plot: After a low-budget recap of Godzilla (1998)’s final moments, biologist Nick “Worm Guy” Tatopoulos (Ian Ziering) and Major (nee, Colonel) Hicks (Kevin Dunn) set out into the unstable warren of Godzilla-created tunnels formerly known as the Manhattan subway system. A well-timed cavein separates Dr. Nick from his military minders, sending him, like Alice, down a hole and into a strange new, topsy-turvy life. Nick lands in a small puddle of orange-yellow goo, low and behold not five feet from the object of his search: the last remaining Godzilla egg, miraculously intact after the aerial bombardment of ... Giant anthropomorphized robots are pretty popular these days, but they've been a part of our worldwide pop-culture for quite a while. Three decades, in fact. A testament to the enduring appeal of this sci-fi subgenre is currently towering over a Tokyo park as we speak: a full-scale replica of the iconic Gundam is almost complete.
