Plot: After a low-budget recap of Godzilla (1998)’s final moments, biologist Nick “Worm Guy” Tatopoulos (Ian Ziering) and Major (nee, Colonel) Hicks (Kevin Dunn) set out into the unstable warren of Godzilla-created tunnels formerly known as the Manhattan subway system. If you aren't quite sure how Godzilla got It's name, let me put it into a formula for you. You might also be curious to know or have wondered where the z or d in the name Godzilla came from then if Godzilla actually is just Gojira. The reason for the d and the z stems from the various ways westerners have come to represent graphically the sounds of the Japanese language. I personally think the z is for pizzazz. I mean what kind of killer, giant monsters don't have a z in their name. In... Read Full Story

Episode 3: Talkin’ Trash Plot : With a garbage strike seizing New York City, a pair of eggheads at the Manhattan Institute of Advanced Technology (MI A T?) struggle to find a “scientific solution.” The subordinate one, Felix (Faust?) (Grant Shaud—who will forever be, to me, the voice of Murphy Brown’s old boss boss, Miles Silverberg ) has an answer in his still-to-be-perfected “Nanotech drivers”: a “colony of microbes” that consume petroleum-based products, manufacturing copies of themselves... Although not official and not a certainty by any means, the question is which monster would win a King Kong vs Godzilla remake? Due to the gorilla being such an American superstar back in the 1960's and the giant radioactive dinosaur being on the down trend (plus the fact that Universal had the money), America's giant ape defeated Japan's Gargantua in 1963. Contrary to popular opinion, there were not alternate endings- a U.S. version and a Japanese version- in the original movie... Read Full Story

King Kong vs Godzilla Remake is happening ? Well it looks like the Ministry of Truth did it again with an exclusive interview with a graphic designer working on a project for the upcoming movie. Right now, I have Part One, which was published today. Hopefully, Part Two will have more details and more proof (color me a skeptic, but, hey, you never know.) Rest assured as someone campaigning for this movie and rating its probability of being near zero, I was very suprised and happy to hear... Read Full Story
All Monsters Attack (aka Godzilla’s Revenge): DVD Classic Media continues its superlative series of re-mastered Toho monster classics with this much-maligned entry, known in the U.S. as Godzilla’s Revenge , but shown here under the more suitable Japanese title All Monsters Attack .
