Simply because ATMA Brother One posted the wrong Amare in the Arena in Oakland/Oracle video. And if you still do actually like Amare (to the Warriors) there's a lot more of his pre-injury highlights on poor Adonal. Greatest battle in the Bay, ever? Does Amare still have any of this left in him after successive surgeries? I say no but won't mind being proven otherwise if the expensive trade does go down. Defensive highlights would be...

On June 25th, 2009, the Phoenix Suns were about to embark on a new era. Shaquille O’Neal had been jettisoned to Cleveland and Amare Stoudemire was nearly gone. The Suns and Golden State had a deal, or a gentleman’s agreement, or a firm handshake, or an agreement in principle with the Golden State Warriors. The deal was this:Suns trade Amare Stoudamire to Golden State. In return the Suns get:Andris Biedrins, Brandan Wright, Marco Belinelli and...

Amar'e or Stephen? Stephen or Amar'e? Happy Monta or angry Monta? Let's cut to the chase. We shall get to the issue that is burning in the Warriors' office today. That's right, we're talking about the trade that sent Suns' F-C Amar'e Stoudemire to the Golden State Warriors for C Andris Biedrins, PF Brandan Wright, G Marco Belinelli and the rights to the 7th pick of Stephen Curry. Of course there are a couple of issues encircling this trade...

The Warriors are fond of repeating their mistakes.  The rumored trade for Amare Stoudemire would be just another example of the team’s lack of creativity when it comes to poor decision making.  Last summer Baron Davis defected to LA and left the team desperate to land a big name player.  Arenas and Brand said no [...]

What do you think we trade Bean and Monta for Amare and Barbosa plus  and minus a few spare parts to make the cap work. Since we have Curry now, I think Monta is expandable and both Monta and Amare have some health question.  We won't have too many huge ego on the same team. We will have a team lile this: point: Curry/Barbosa/law Shooting: Belli/BuikeMorrow SF: Jack/Megg/ Buike PF: AR/Wright C: Amare/Turiaf What do you all think?

Here's the second installment in our interview with NBADraft.net's Aran Smith. Head on over to the first part for some broader thoughts on the 2009 NBA Draft. Will they both be gone? In this segment we look at whether Tyler Hansbrough will fare better than Brandan Wright in the NBA when it's all said and done. We also look at Marco Belinelli's NBA career thus far and the Jason Richardson - Brandan Wright swap almost 2 years after we first...

Let's start with what we know: The Warriors selected super-shooter Stephen Curry on Thursday night and made a point to mute the praise and plop him behind Monta Ellis in the offensive pecking order. Interesting. And what we sort of know: The Warriors ...

Stephen Curry, Dime #48 Talk about a change of heart. Back when Stephen Curry went 5-18 from the field for 20 points against the College of Charleston, NBA analysts and scouts piped up, saying that he wasn’t fit for the League. But last week he was selected seventh in the draft. And now, he’s the reason that Golden State won’t pull the trigger on a trade that would get them one of the most dynamic talents in the game today. The biggest obstacle with Amare remains Golden State’s unwillingness to even consider including No. 7 overall pick Stephen Curry in the deal and the ... Read Full Story

The “ Associated Press ” has reported that a deal that could send Mike Miller and Adonal Foyle from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Washington Wizards could be on the verge of fruition. The trade would send the T-Wolves Oleksiy Pecherov, Etan Thomas and Darius Songaila as well as the number five pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft. Minnesota already owns the number six pick and there has been speculation that they might want to package both picks to try to move up to the second slot. © Copyright 2009 thesackattack.net Read Full Story

ESPN is reporting that the Golden State Warriors are sending Jamal Crawford to the Atlanta Hawks for Acie Law and Speedy Claxton. For Golden State the move makes sense financially as they save money and clears a logjam as they have Monta Ellis, Stephen Jackson, Corey Maggette, Kelenna Azubuike, Anthony Morrow (team option), and Marco Belinelli handling the PG, SG, and SF positions. Atlanta adds a prolific scorer who can play either guard position. If the Hawks are unable to agree to terms with Mike Bibby, Crawford can slide into that role. Read Full Story

Stephen Jackson scored 29 points, Jamal Crawford scored 15 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter, and the Golden State Warriors rallied from a 14-point, second-half deficit to beat the New Jersey Nets 116-112 on Wednesday night. The Warriors, bolstered by the return of Monta Ellis and Andris Biedrins to the starting lineup, snapped a three-game losing streak. Ellis, who missed the last seven games, had 19 points and Biedrins, who missed the past five, contributed 10 points and 13 rebounds. Corey Maggette added 18 points. Devin Harris had 31 points and 12 assists for the Nets, who have lost five of six ... Read Full Story

Even the elite teams are mortals - ask the New Orleans Hornets. Against the Golden State Warriors on Friday night, they had easily one of their worst shooting nights of the season as they shot only 35.9% from the floor; the end result was Golden State holding off New Orleans 91-87 at New Orleans Arena. The Hornets led 29-19 in the second quarter when West scored on a putback; they were up 40-31 when Golden State’s Stephen Jackson scored on a layup which started a 16-2 run that included a 3-pointer by Jackson and a pair of layups by Monta Ellis. That offensive spurt ... Read Full Story

As you are most likely aware by now the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday became the fifth NBA team to terminate their head coach since the start of the season. Maurice Cheeks, joins P.J. Carlesimo, Eddie Jordan, Randy Wittman, and Sam Mitchell as former NBA bench bosses. Has the blood letting stopped, or will there still be further victims in the coming days and weeks? There are of course 30 franchises in the Association, eliminating the five teams that have already fired their coaches brings the total down to 25. There are currently, 4 untouchable coaches in the NBA, Greg Popovich in San Antonio, Jerry ... Read Full Story

This Summer Ellis might be hopping on that moped and heading out of the Bay Area. The “San Jose Mercury News” is reporting that Ellis met with Warriors coach Don Nelson and [...] Read Full Story
