Gilbert Arenas, Dime #29
We argue. You decide.
GILBERT ARENAS (by Austin Burton)
I wonder if Gilbert Arenas watches Warriors games — because Gilbert actually does spend his free time following the rest of the League — and sees traces of himself in the form of Monta Ellis . It makes sense. Both are quick and vicious scoring guards who play the point mainly out of necessity. Both are occasionally misunderstood, often criticized, and always overachieving; two second-round picks who weren... Read Full Story
Vince Carter had 27 points and seven assists, Mickael Pietrus scored a season-high 22 points and the Orlando Magic rallied to beat the Golden State Warriors 126-118 on Saturday night. Dwight Howard added 17 points and eight rebounds, and Jason Williams had 12 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Monta Ellis scored a career-high 45 points, Anthony Morrow added 18 and the injury-riddled Golden State Warriors beat the Indiana Pacers 126-107 on Monday night. Ellis went 15 of 27 from the floor, made 14 of 16 free throws and added five rebounds in topping his previous best of 42 points while leading Golden State (6-10) back from a 15-point deficit in the first half to win for just the third time in eight games. Mike Dunleavy, who played his first four-plus seasons with the Warriors, came... Read Full Story
Earlier this month, we talked about an almost inevitable trade with Monta Ellis and the Golden State Warriors . With seemingly nothing going right in the bay this season, it looked as if the relationship between Ellis and the Warriors front office was deteriorating quickly. But, with consecutive wins over Portland and Dallas (granted without Shawn Marion ), things in Northern Cali are looking a little less gloomy. Read Full Story
At this point, it appears that it’s not if, but rather when, Monta Ellis will be traded from the Warriors. With his agent, Jeff Fried, scheduled to meet with team management in Oakland tomorrow , apparently at Don Nelson ’s urging, Golden State has been calling teams and offering to trade Ellis all week.
We all know the stories. From throwing his teammates under the bus to beefing with Steph Curry to his verbal altercation with Nellie in New York, things have not been good since Monta... Read Full Story
So you thought that after the Golden State Warriors were able to unload a member of the “ NBA TOP TEN PUD LIST ” forward Stephen Jackson to the Charlotte Bobcats every thing was going to be all “ Nicey-Nice ” and calm for the rest of the season, right? According... Read Full Story

Now that Stephen Jackson is gone, Monta Ellis is the last defensive presence on the Warriors. Well, according to Monta Ellis anyway. We’re going to keep posting the ridiculousness that comes from the circus that is the Golden State Warriors because it’s ridiculous .
Aside from the news that Monta Ellis and Don Nelson had some sort of verbal altercation today , there was this amazing recap from the Contra Costa Times ‘ “Inside the Warriors” blog of what may or may not have been a fake injury created by Don Nelson yesterday to keep Stephen Jackson on the pine:
Jackson played 17:56 in the loss to Indiana, where he... Read Full Story
