Canadian Open Is Wide Open But Can Mike Weir Sneak It?

Mike Weir being Canadian would love to win this and it was great to see Weir reproduce some of that old golf form that he had a few years back last week in the British Open. Also favourite to win here is steady Jim Furyk who even with his bad back nine finish in the Open was still in a top 10 finish and he also looked back to his best form.
Thing is there are other good golfers in form like Anthony Kim, Goosen, Bubba Watson who is deff due a win on the PGA Tour and also that young star Camilo Villegas who hit that amazing 65 in the British Open.
I hate previewing a golf tournament just before the 1st round because golf has become so much harder now to pick a winner from the start and is so much easier in the middle of the 3rd round which is why I love online betting.
But in the Canadian Open I am going to narrow it down to 3 golfers and that is Jim Furyk who really did look back to form and with this field I can see him winning this with ease. I also fancy Mike Weir to be about the Leaderboard come Sunday night as his golf play impressed me during the British Open and if Furyk isn't up to his sparkling best then Mike Weir can step in there and steal the spoils.
For an outsider I am going for Bubba Watson who has been playing great golf on the PGA Tour and but for a few bad shots would have won a few tournaments this season but don't count him out of the Canadian Open 2008 and at cracking odds of 33/1 is well worth a look at each way. Anyways the Canadian Open starts tomorrow and Sentanta have the coverage of it, I shall be back late Thursday night with all my updates from the 1st Round.
So it's Jim Furyk to win the Canadian Open but take Mike Weir as well just in case Jim slips up and just for an outside interest throw in Bubba Watson each way at a cracking 33/1. Good luck one and all and enjoy yet another weekend of golf.
