Steven Gray added 13 points for Gonzaga (10-4, 1-0 WCC), which was coming off an overtime win at No. 15 Tennessee that snapped a three-game losing streak. Matt Bouldin scored 26 points and No. 18 Gonzaga pulled away from upstart Portland for a 93-78 victory on Thursday night. Gonzaga (17-4, 8-0 West Coast Conference) won its ninth straight. It was the Bulldogs' 12th consecutive win over the Pilots (15-8, 6-2). T.J. The Bulldogs didn't make it to the NCAA tourney till '95, but they made it to the Elite Eight in '99. The Bulldogs now get ranked every year. Maybe it is the name?  zags...just sounds cool.
