Canada's prime minister on Tuesday gave Prince Charles, heir to the British throne, two red sweaters and caps worn by Inuit Rangers to take home to his sons as souvenirs of his visit. "Your Highness, as you know we're very proud of our Rangers and our Rangers program," Prime Minister Stephen Harper said, flanked by four Rangers in the drawing room of the governor general's mansion. They are "a great group of people who patrol our vast Arctic territory," he said, adding the sweaters and caps symbolized Princes William and Harry's honorary membership in the Arctic guard. "I hope they fit," quipped Prince Charles. ... Read Full Story

That kind of contempt for democracy smacks of absolutism. Who ... Read Full Story

As I gaze into the crystal ball, I see the Governor General agreeing to prorogue Parliament , within the next 48 hours ! Stephen Harper will escape immediate death of his mandate to govern Canada. Discord of proportions never seen before in Canada will rage between the political parties. The Conservatives are flush with cash and will engage in all out media war to sell their position on why they should govern and why a Coalition is bad for Canadians . The Liberals on the other hand have little cash to launch an aggressive counter attack. Dion, will be sold as a lame duck ... Read Full Story
