Romney recently delivered his "Faith in America" speech, designed to address concerns about his Mormom faith. The speech was widely distributed and influenced the political news cycle.
Don’t Vote For Mitt Romney
I just think a man who choses to ignore a legitimate question to a wheelchair bound man with Muscular Dystrophy especially when his campaign slogan is something like “ASK MITT ANY QUESTION.” That being said, quite literally, Mitt is a walking talking fugazi; saying one thing and doing another. What’s worse in this case is that we’re over a year away from the election and this man has already proven his ignorance and unwillingness to listen to science and the medical experts. Negating all the while Marijuana is responsible for as many as 74 deaths every year. Basically, more people win the lottery in America than die from smoking weed. Yet, Mitt Fugazi and his Republican counterparts sidestep this issue and choose to ignore any demographic that doesn’t vote in high numbers, blacks, wheel-chair bound people, and in Romney’s case, anyone who doesn’t believe in magical underpants (more on that later). Just watch this video, this is what I’m talking about.
People are arguing that it was a “loaded question” but I think it is quite a legitimate one. Will Mitt Romney be against medical marijuana if he is elected president… “I don’t agree in medical marijuana.” That’s it Mitt? I thought he was on the “ASK MITT ROMNEY ANYTHING TOUR”
In Mitt Romney’s case, it is all the same, a close minded anti-gay, anti-medical marijuana, anti-immigration, anti-fun Mormon trying to gain power to better his own little corner of the world. You have to wonder about men who run for president who are already millionaires (in Romney’s case $100,000,000 plus Come on people, this guy is wholeheartedly uninterested in what ALL Americans want, just the Americans in his little corner of the world… Utah, Mormon Central, Mormons who believe in chastity, no drugs or alcohol, also known as everything that is fun in life. So, if you thought things were bad under Bush when it came to marijuana and other types of drugs, bet on a nation run by Mitt Romney to become a religious state under which nothing will get done. Absolutely nothing. Please, most of the people that read these blogs are younger college kids and kids that will be able to vote in 2008 and 2010. In these two elections, I urge you to vote for the best person possible, which in this day in age are by default Democrats… why do I generalize in such a manner? Because it is absolutely true, every single Republican in congress has stood in the way of every single issue a Democrat has put forth since forever, but more so ever since the magical “Reagan Era” of military escalation gave Republicans the political juice to get away with anything they want. I can’t begin to list how much Republican Congressmen earn every year from stock options on oil companies, defense contractors, big tobacco contributions, to name a few. It’s true though, Google it and you’ll see. Not only that, I heard from a few sources that in the weeks following the Clinton victory in 1992, people very high up in government on a few occasions almost acted out a coup on good old Bill. That’s right, our fairly elected was on the verge of a military takeover in 1992, ask people who served on bases on or around 1992, especially in the south how many times they went on alert (if they’re willing to talk). All this leads me to the main point here, it just seems like Democrats do little things wrong morally, but rarely commit serious crimes against the constitution. But how many times are we to endure an Repblican standing in the way of progress because they use the excuse “well, this bill isn’t right for my constituents.”
Seriously, one religous nutjob for President in our entire history was enough, how the heck in this day in age, the digital age, the age when everyone is supposed to be more informed, smarter, and just better global citizens can elect a wingnut for President twice in a row that led us into wars that have put this country in the worst debt in our history. Isn’t one guy who takes advice from God instead of his advisors enough? Do you really want a guy running this country who believes his Mormon underwear protects him from evil spells? Do you really want a guy who is in charge of our nation who has shown in this video that he has never been educated on the postive effects of marijuana as compared to many prescription medications which are legal. This is undoubtedly an issue that no real candidate ever addreses before an election, but this video and the man in the wheelchair is somewhat of a hero for doing what he did; he brought into the open this extremely important topic instead of it being swept under the rug. It’s a shame too that the media will also most likely sweep it under the rug. There’s no real voice in the media for the advocacy of legalizing marijuana, who would anyway? It’s a one way ticket to being investigated by the FBI for being a dirty criminal. I just don’t think its right that in our country we have to fear having different tastes from those who are in power.
