If Governor Bill Richardson can help it, more people will be having fun at the state fair from today through September 21 when it closes. He must have experienced or heard of the low attendance that I observed in my previous article . He ordered managers at the fair to drop admission and midway prices effective today. Admission prices have been reduced by $1.00 and weekend all-day ride prices by $10.00. In addition, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday admission prices will be two for one, for adults, senior citizens and children.
