Graham Harrell Texas Tech Quarterback Why Some NFL Teams Are Idiots

I’m convinced a great deal of NFL Teams are total idiots who try to make football like Rocket Science and themselves like geniuses by drafting players for the NFL who hardly played in college, played badly in college, etc., and don’t draft players like Texas Tech Quarterback Graham Harrell despite throwing 131 touchdowns in his final three college seasons leading his team to almost the #1 College Football Ranking because these Pro Football numbskulls say Graham Harrell’s success was due to... Frankly College Football

Texas Tech over Texas Texas Tech has been an interesting story since Mike Leach took over as head coach. They have managed some big wins while running an offense that is high octane. 3 of the 7 quarterbacks in NCAA history with 5,000 yards passing in a season have been at Tech under Leach. This game was exciting. Colt McCoy and his Texas buddies just about pulled off another 4th quarter comeback. Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree simply out performed them. Was that ever a clutch TD at... Read Full Story

Frank's Poll Alabama Oklahoma Texas Florida USC Oklahoma Man-Handles Texas Tech In the game of the week, Oklahoma came out scooting along on their Sooner Schooner. They did not let up. In one of the best displays of both offensive and defensive football, OU dominated this game. Texas or Oklahoma I understand the logic of those preferring Texas ahead of Oklahoma in the polls. Texas did beat Oklahoma in an October match-up. However, Texas lost to Texas Tech. Oklahoma destroyed Texas Tech... Read Full Story

Graham Harrell headed to CFL with Roughriders

From:  ap.org
Graham Harrell is headed to the CFL. The record-setting Texas Tech quarterback signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Thursday. Harrell is the NCAA Division I career leader in touchdown passes but wasn't drafted by the NFL. His workout with the Cleveland Browns did not result in a contract. Harrell had to fight the perception that his numbers were the product of Texas Tech's offensive system and he didn't have the arm strength to succeed in the NFL. The Roughriders are already two games... Read Full Story

An Aerial Assault for the Ages: Texas Tech Clashes with Oklahoma

One of the most anticipated college football games of the 2008-2009 season will take place this Saturday when the 2nd ranked Texas Tech Red Raiders travel to Norman, Oklahoma to face the 5th ranked Oklahoma Sooners. The winner of this game likely controls their own destiny in their road to not only the Big 12 Championship game, but the BCS National Championship game as well. If Oklahoma wins out, and Texas Tech wins next week against Baylor, and Texas wins out, there would be a three-way tie... Read Full Story

Frank's Poll Texas Tech Alabama Texas Oklahoma Florida In my mind, the winner of the OU vs. Texas Tech game should head to the Big XII championship game and prevail. That should put this winner in the BCS Championship Game in Miami. Their opponent will probably be the winner of the Florida vs. Alabama game which should be for the SEC championship. My prediction is Oklahoma vs. Florida for the title with Oklahoma ending the year at #1. Heisman Watch Sam Bradford, Oklahoma quarterback Graham... Read Full Story

Bowl Picks Part 8: Cotton, Liberty, and Sugar

Cotton Bowl: 1/2, 11:00am PT Texas Tech vs. Mississippi This game features a Texas Tech team that got snubbed by the BCS and an Ole Miss team that is playing great right now. Ole Miss has a great defense that is capable of competing with the high-powered Texas Tech offense. Ole Miss is strong on both sides of the ball and may be able to take advantage of a struggling offensive line for Texas Tech. The key to this game will be Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell. He is a great passer... Read Full Story
