A community portal about Gran Turismo 4 with blogs, videos, and photos. According to Wikipedia.org: Gran Turismo 4 was released on December 28, 2004 in Japan and Hong Kong, February 22, 2005 in the United States, and March 9, 2005 in Europe, and has since been re-issued under Sony's'Greatest Hits' line. It is on DVD-9 format. After being delayed for over a year and a half by Polyphony Digital and having its online mode removed, Gran Turismo 4 was still one of the most anticipated console games of 2005, and sold a million copies in its first week at Japanese retail. It featured 721 cars from 80 manufacturers, from as early as the 1886 Daimler Motor Carriage, to the Nissan 350Z Gran Turismo edition, a collaboration between Nissan and Polyphony Digital, and as far into the future as concepts for 2022. The game also features 51 tracks, many of which are new or modified versions of old Gran Turismo favourites. Notable track inclusions are the Nordschleife variant of Nürburgring, Suzuka Circuit, Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe, tracks modeled after world famous attractions such as New York's Times Square, Hong Kong, Paris, and the drag strip in Las Vegas.

BMW is rounding out its Detroit Auto Show premier lineup with the North American debut of the 535i Gran Turismo. The 550i GT that's powered by the 4.4-liter twin turbo V8 is already on sale in the U.S., but we won't get our shot at the six cylinder model until the spring of 2010. Like the recently-announced 5 Series...
English-language MGS: Peace Walker demo, too.
It's a decent week for PlayStation downloads. The Gran Turismo 5 GT Academy demo has gone live, giving wannabe race drivers the chance to become a real racer (more info here), an English-language demo of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker's on there, and the Army of Two: The 40th Day demo is probably worth pulling down the fat internet pipe, too.Click here to read the full article

It’s been four years since Gran Turismo 4 was released. And we’re still waiting for Gran Turismo 5. So forgive me for expecting more for the first sighting of the game in the wild. Because for me the GT5 demo / GT Academy time trial is very disappointing.
I know it isn’t a proper demo, having [...]

I’ve been a fan of racing games since Wipeout 2097 which was the first one I developed a real obsession over. I was a big fan of the Gran Turismo series too and, back in the day, bought a PlayStation 2 just to play GT4. I was excited about GT5…until I played the Prologue on my flatmate’s PS3. Next to games such as Race Driver: GRID, the Prologue flat out sucked. Gran Turismo seems so stiff and formal compared to the Codemasters title. These...
#46: Gran Turismo PSP on Playstation Portable. We said : “It’s impossible to describe Gran Turismo PSP as a bad game. There’s the over-riding impression that in bringing Gran Turismo to the PSP, Polyphony Digital forgot to make an actual game around it. Ironically though, flawed as it is, Gran Turismo PSP still stands heads and shoulders above most other PSP titles. It’s disappointing to the degree of what might have been, but still stellar in many regards.” #47: Gravity Crash on Playstation 3. We said : “Gravity Crash is a decent dual-stick shooter with an excellent level editor. It’s just a shame the ...

Visually impressive, shallower than other GT versions Like many, I have been waiting for this game for a long time, having been a big fan on the GT games. So I guess there are two reviews needed, one for those who are familiar with the series, and one for those who are not. So, is it a proper Gran Turismo game on the PSP? A qualified yes. There are loads of cars, and loads of tracks, and it looks better than I would have believed possible on the PSP. The graphics are smooth, wonderfully detailed, with no trace of scenery popup (so far). The ...
